Adopt for a Day
As an adopt for a day volunteer, you are responsible for a rescue of our choosing for the day. You will be given an adoption eligible rescue, their basic bio and farm contact info when the farm opens, and must return the rescue before we close. The purpose of this program is to show the rescues what a day in adopted life would look like while broadening their chances of adoption through exposure to the public outside farm limits. Therefore, it is your responsibility to inform passersby (to the best of your ability) about your specific rescue and Longing for Home in general, and ultimately direct them to contact or visit us with serious adoption inquiries.
